INDI, which was founded on May 30, 1968, and has a 53-year history, has played a critical role in the growth of the Minas Gerais economy. Its initial objective was to draft an action plan for the state’s industrialisation. Hundreds of firms, agreements, and foreign missions, including Coca-Cola, Sadia, Samarco, Ambev, Anglogold, Fiat, Iveco, Philips, Tigre, Unilever, Duratex, Coteminas, Nestlé, Vallourec, and Mannesmann, have been attracted since then.
However, in keeping with modern world trends, INDI is taking a new perspective to meet the challenges of this new era and to follow the trends of a more dynamic and innovative economic model. The Agency’s internal reform ends in the upgrading of its brand and the change of its name to Invest Minas, which clarifies its institutional aims even further. As a result, the new nomenclature reflects an international, more competitive, and up-to-date standard.
The new formulation of Invest Minas will inspire and contribute more effectively to the success of WAIPA, to which we all aspire.
Many congratulations to the Invest Minas team, and best wishes for future growth!
